This is the first set of EVP’s I will be posting from the Queen Mary. She is active folks. I am not happy to report that I recorded the first EVP’s that I believe are evil in nature, but they are not in this video. This one is all from my stateroom. The last one on the video is my favorite, some female spirit made alot of effort to say the word FAMOUS with full voice and inflection, it’s great.

Well on that note. About a month ago I got a hard to make out EVP referring to a “rash” and the following week I broke out in one. BUT. The way I see it, they are there and talking all the time whether we listen to them or not. I feel reassured knowing what is around me because what has come back has been positive. But ignorance is bliss to some and they would rather not know, which is fine, I think most have a low tolerance level for this stuff.

yeah, but couldn’t that be opening up a door to something that’s not right? perhaps? maybe? I don’t know but hearing voices whispering my name when I’m trying to tape my snoring, was a little beyond my wanting to wake the dead. That scared the crap outta me.
Then again…I wonder if I could get them to whisper the winning lottery numbers for me. lol

It is something that should be done with care and respect. Just remember the voices are not demons just because they sound kind of whispery and scary and most are benign. I say most because there are some bad ones and this is why people should use caution.

you be very careful doing this. I didn’t believe in this stuff till I saw an episode of paranormal state and the guy says at the end of the show..don’t do this, it’s dangerous and I believe in that. I swear that opens a demon gate or something.
I didn’t believe when someone said I snored a little, so I taped myself sleeping and when I played it back, there were voices whispering my name and other very strange sounding voices whispering. I got pretty freaked out and will never do that again.

Windows XP comes with Moviemaker, Vista users can download it free from Microsoft. You can drop your audio into it to generate a .wmv file.

Try using headphones, it really does make a difference. Listening a few times can help also, especially if you are not used to listening to EVP. But there’s some EVP I also cannot hear so don’t feel bad :) it’s the nature of it.

Hmm, seems like I’m the only one that didn’t hear anything (lol).

Wow, some of them are clearer than others but I can tell these are genuine. Well done for catching them!

Well… I was a bit nervous about it at first, but I’ve lived here for 10 years and always have felt safe and not frightened or threatened so that helped alot. I am actually more nervous about doing EVP out and about at this point, because there’s no telling what you’ll get. So far mostly good though :)

This stuff really freakme out but I can’t stop listening to it all. Sure wouldn’t find me doing EVP in my own house like you have done in the past. I’m definitely going to give it a try though!

Well I believe you, there was a horrible murder there that they may or may not have mentioned. I made several recordings in various areas of the pool room but I haven’t been through the audio yet, check back as I will be posting EVP’s from the trip as I go along. (The creepiest place for me was the cargo hold by a long shot, I will be posting that audio with a warning label ;P )

I’m from Long Beach and went to the Queen Mary in 1986 on a field trip when I was 11. This was not a ghost tour…more of a history tour because we were children trying to learn, etc. I got the creepiest feeling in what they said was the first class interior pool room. The pool at the time had no water in it & we were on like a cat walk looking down at the pool. I never told my friends because I didn’t want them to think I was crazy, but it was like the spirits were in my face yelling at me.

I appreciate that. I have been reviewing the boiler room recordings and they came through very strong in there, that will probably be the next to go up :)

  21. January 27th, 2010 at 23:01 | #21

This was just me and my recorder, actually. They just came through very strong. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you are well.

As always, Good stuff. I look forward to seeing and hearing your catches. You have some very clear EVP’s. Good Luck and keep up the great work!

great to see you back in action!! Great captures! I have been thinking about getting a ghost box they are so fascinating! Even though I live in the city the radio reception sucks in my apartment but that is a good thing for this.
