denver airfare denver airfare Has anyone ever taken Amtrak? Any pros and cons?

I am trying to go from Denver, CO to Grand Rapids, Mi. The cost of airfare is very expensive, so I was thinking of taking Amtrak. It seems that I will have to go to Chicago, and then on to Grand Rapids. Any pros and cons on Amtrak?

I love taking train travel. It is a very social experience if you like to meet lots of new people. If you are not getting a sleeper, then bring a pillow. Train travel is a wonderful way of seeing the U.S. and it is very relaxing.

    great to see you back in action!! Great captures! I have been thinking about getting a ghost box they are so fascinating! Even though I live in the city the radio reception sucks in my apartment but that is a good thing for this.

    When I was about 10, I went to my friend’s house. Two years prior, my friend’s older sister accidentally got tossed in with the laundry and died.

    And, two years after its death, I saw that damned cat go across the floor infront of me and into a wall. Freaked me out.
