Airfare Venice To Paris
I will be flying from Paris to Venice(haven’t booked my airfare yet) then going down to Rome. From home I am thinking of going to Naples but I have to be back in Rome on the 5th day because I fly from Rome to the US. I don’t need more then one day in Venice, I know I need at least 2 days in Rome but have always wanted to go to Naples. Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
If you fly form CDG to VCE, chances are you arrive to Venice from 11am to 2pm, so that doesn’t leave you a significant chance of getting to know beautiful Venice in one single day. If you get there on an early flight, (I have traveled from Paris to Venice many times and never managed to get there before 11), then you can catch the Naveta or the Water Taxi that takes you straight to San Marco, that’s the center of Venice where the San Marco dell tower stands and the Cathedral right next to it. From there you can walk across the many bridges towards Rialto, where you’ll find old churches, the Jewish ghetto, and lots of places to shop for souvenirs. You could do that in one day, but to get from Venice to Rome you’ll need another 8 hours by train if you’re lucky, or 6 hours driving down a crowded highway. From VCE to FCO that’s Fiumicino, you’ll get there in 50 minutes. But you could instead travel directly from Venice to Naples (Napoli), spend the next day there, and then drive or take a train to Rome which should be much closer. That way you could spend almost 2 days in Rome and you’ll be on your way back to the US.
